The college admissions, and test prep, worlds are aflutter with updates and controversies around the "new SAT" scheduled for spring 2016. Because the changes to the exam will be quite dramatic, many are recommending that current sophomores who will take standardized tests in fall or spring of their junior year, opt for the ACT. Many colleges admit that they will have to analyze how the new SAT will compare with the "old" version. Furthermore, it may take a number of test runs (pun intended) to gain a true sense of the exam's value.
